Program Overview
Jessup’s online bachelor’s degree in business administration prepares students for management and leadership careers in today’s dynamic business climate. Students learn practical and theoretical elements of business while integrating biblical principles, allowing them to become ethical business leaders who inspire others. They have the flexibility to study on their schedule while maintaining a balance between academic and professional commitments.
Our online business administration students can choose from three business concentrations – Business Management, Entrepreneurship, and Accounting. Each of these concentrations includes a foundation of general business coursework along with classes and internships in their specialized field. The challenging academic experience allows our online students to sharpen their leadership, marketing, accounting, finance, and management skills. Students also develop practical skills in strategic management, international business, and economics they can immediately apply in the workplace.
Students learn from expert faculty with years of real-world business and executive experience. Many faculty members have backgrounds in Wall Street and Big Tech. This program also provides career planning and job interview preparation. When they graduate, students can analyze business opportunities and successfully make sound business decisions as well as effectively communicate and collaborate in a team environment. Students graduate with skill sets they can apply to a variety of career paths in all types of organizations. Some graduates further their education and advance their career with an online MBA.
Courses and Requirements
Jessup’s online B.S. in business administration requires a total of 128 credit hours, including 38 credits in the business major, 12-18 credits in a specific concentration, and 0-12 credits of free electives. As a student, you’ll learn topics including business statistics, financial accounting and marketing.

Central to each student’s course of study are the Foundational Studies, a core of classes that position students as leaders in their world. Jessup seeks to develop the whole person by developing skills in communication, quantitative reasoning, and critical thinking and by exposing students to a broad cross‐section of knowledge in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities.

Jessup’s accredited online business accounting concentration gives students a strong foundation in both national and international accounting standards. This concentration prepares students for the CPA exam and careers at a nonprofit or government organization. Students in the accounting concentration receive hand-on experience in the latest accounting software and learn how to use it to prepare financial statements for auditing. Through this concentration, students apply their knowledge to relevant, real-world scenarios like preparing federal tax returns, corporate financial statements, and comprehensive audit plans.

Jessup’s entrepreneurship concentration is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on developing a business concept, pitching to investors, and creating solutions to the common challenges business leaders face. This concentration includes an internship, giving students the opportunity to work with nonprofit or B-corporation groups and present work to stakeholders. Graduates of the business entrepreneurship concentration are prepared for managing and leading startups and self-owned companies as well as driving change as an employee.

Jessup’s online business management concentration teaches students how to be effective leaders. The program utilizes practical and theoretical elements of leadership and management while integrating a biblical perspective. This program covers broad topics including human resources, project management, and entrepreneurship while sharpening leadership, marketing, accounting, finance, and management skills. Students in this program explore complex topics including tax audits, macro and microeconomics, nonprofit management, and business development.

Concentrations within the major have variable unit requirements; therefore, to meet the minimum standard of 128 units for degree completion, the free electives are adjusted according to the chosen concentration.

Submit your application. Be sure to include a copy of your undergrad transcript confirming at least a 2.0 GPA, if you have one. Otherwise, submit a copy of your high school transcript and ACT or SAT scores.

Financial Aid
Online students receive the same financial aid options as those attending classes on campus. Students receive a dedicated financial aid officer who will guide them through all of their available financial aid options. There are several grants, scholarships and loans available, and undergrad students are eligible for up to $12,500 per year in federal student loans.

Scholarships
Undergrads also can receive up to $2,000 per year with the Church Partnership Grant, which is reserved for candidates who attend supporting churches. Additionally, California high school seniors or those transferring from a community college may apply for the Cal Grant. The grant does not need to be repaid and is funded by the state of California.

Prospective students who are transferring can complete their degree in two years with a full workload and 60 units transferred. A maximum of 90 credits may be transferred per university policy, and credits may come from other regionally accredited institutions.

Jessup proudly participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program to fully support our nation’s veterans. Veterans with 100-percent eligibility will have all of their tuition costs and most fees completely covered.
